Dr. Sadeghi made me feel comfortable right away and I highly recommend her for many reasons.
I had already been experiencing abdominal pain on my right side for a few weeks and tried changing my diet. I also got blood work done, as well as a few exams before hand. According to the results, everything seemed to be fine, but knowing my body, I knew there was something wrong.
That is when I Realized I had to go see a gastroenterologist, but I had no idea where to even start looking for one. We are talking about your intestines here and you don’t want to go to just any doctor with something that is such a sensitive matter. The next day, I talked to my coworkers about how i felt lost and guarded trying to pick a doctor that was specialized in that matter and that is when someone mentioned Doctor Sagdehi. They told me nothing but positive things about her and after hearing this I decided to make an appointment.
The day I went in her office I got to ASC Endoscopy center and signed in. A huge plus about this office is that they attend to you quickly. It didn’t take to long before they called me in to see Doctor Sadeghi. She went through all of my symptoms and explained to me a few posibilities of what i could have. We scheduled an endoscopy a week from that day and she made sure to go through step by step, acknowledging me on what to do that week and the few hours before the procedure.
The day of the procedure I was a bit nervous. I came into the clinic and the nurses helped me get prepared for the procedure. Not long after, Doctor Sadeghi came in and explained to me once again exactly what was going to happen. I have to say that she definitely calmed my nerves down. A few minutes after, I was ready to go thanks to the nurses as well. Once I woke up from the procedure, Doctor Sadeghi was there waiting for me to be conscious. She explained to me that she had found a bit of gastric juice but no ulcers. She also told me she had taken some tissues to do some exams and that once the results came in she would give me a call back. In less than a week she gave me a call and informed me that i had H-Pylory and that she had already sent an order with my prescription to my pharmacy of preference.
A couple days after I was done with my antibiotics I got a phone call from Doctor Sadeghi in regards to making sure that everything was ok. What I loved about her is that she was always on top of things.
My overall experience with Doctor Sadeghi was more than what I expected. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a gastroenterologist.
Over the holidays, Rita, my incredible wife, complained about headaches and stomach problems. She tried some different remedies that she had used in the past, but the problems persisted. Then one night at dinnertime, she complained of extreme stomach problems. Initially, Rita assumed it was a stomach ache. But in the next few hours, her pains became extreme. The result: a terrible night spent in the emergency room at our local hospital.
At first, the doctors assumed she had acute gastritis or a gall bladder attack. Tests and further diagnosis by her gastroenterologist indicated something completely different: Rita was suffering from food allergies, particularly lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity and fructose malabsorption.
Ironically, Rita has been extremely careful about her diet. We previously wrote about how we embarked on a change in our lives two years ago, dramatically changing what we eat and embracing daily exercise, which allowed us to lose over 220 lbs. in little more than a year. That her attack came so suddenly surprised both of us. So Rita immediately went to work.
With the help of Dr. Angie Sadeghi, an outstanding gastroenterologist with the Irvine Odessey Medical Center, Rita started a low FODMAP/IBS diet and eliminated anything with lactose (milk) and gluten (wheat, barley, rye). The results were immediate: her pains stopped and bloating disappeared. Her crashing headaches ceased. She lost several pounds almost overnight. Rita was an entirely new person. Ironically, many of the foods Rita had previously tried to feel better were actually making her worse. So closing doors to some old favorite foods immediately had benefits.
When I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, I was referred to Dr. Sadeghi for treatment. I found her to be a very caring & concerned physician. She ran several necessary tests to find out how far my condition had progressed. Then she got me started on a regiment of Sovaldi & Ribavirin. Sovaldi is a very expensive drug at an average of $1,000 a pill.
She then referred me to a specialty pharmacy to fill my prescription. They provided me with the name & numbers of foundations that fund money to cover the cost for Hepatitis C medications. Without her help, I would not have been able to get the treatment I so desperately needed. I only have two more weeks before I finish with my meds & my Hepatitis C is now non-detectable.
I owe my good health to Dr. Sadeghi & would refer anyone I know to her if they had this disease.
